ASA
ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is a thermoplastic similar to ABS but with added acrylate for superior weather resistance.
Developed to overcome ABS’s tendency to yellow and crack under UV exposure.
Density: ~1.07 g/cm³
Glass transition temperature (Tg): 95–105 °C
Melting temperature: 220–250 °C
Nozzle temperature: 240–260 °C
Bed temperature: 90–110 °C
Enclosure: Recommended to prevent warping.
Ventilation: Emits mild fumes—good airflow advised
UV and weather resistant unlike abs: Ideal for outdoor use
