  • ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is a thermoplastic similar to ABS but with added acrylate for superior weather resistance.

  • Developed to overcome ABS’s tendency to yellow and crack under UV exposure.

  • Density: ~1.07 g/cm³

  • Glass transition temperature (Tg): 95–105 °C

  • Melting temperature: 220–250 °C

  • Nozzle temperature: 240–260 °C

  • Bed temperature: 90–110 °C

  • Enclosure: Recommended to prevent warping.

  • Ventilation: Emits mild fumes—good airflow advised

  • UV and weather resistant unlike abs: Ideal for outdoor use
